Clear a stack of 84 tiles by taking matching pairs. A tile can be taken only when nothing sits on top of it and one of its sides is open. Every deal here can be cleared to the last tile.

White tiles are available. Pick two with the same face to clear them. A tile with something on top, or boxed in on both sides, cannot be taken.

Why this one

Only solvable deals
Scatter tiles at random and a large share of the resulting boards cannot be finished. This one is built backwards: the removal order is decided first and matching faces are assigned to those pairs, so at least one path to the last tile is guaranteed to exist. Getting stuck is about the order you chose, never about the deal.
Unavailable tiles look unavailable
Tiles you can take are white; the rest are dimmed. A tile that can be pressed but does nothing reads as broken to anyone who has not read the rules, so availability is shown in the board itself rather than explained in text.
Undo and reshuffle
The last move can be taken back, as many times as you like. When no matching pair is available, the remaining tiles can be reshuffled — and the new arrangement is checked to be clearable before it is shown, so a reshuffle never just swaps one dead end for another.

How to play

  1. Press an available tile

White tiles are available. Pressing one picks it; pressing again lets it go.

  2. Press its match

Press another white tile with the same face and both clear. A different face simply moves your pick to the new tile.

  3. Clear all 84

The clock stops when the board is empty, and the time is kept — replaced only when you go faster.

Clearing the board

Work down from the top
Tiles on an upper layer hold down everything beneath them. When the same face appears both above and below, taking the lower one can strip the upper one of its partner. When in doubt, reduce the upper layers first; it keeps more options open later.
Four of every face
There are twenty-one faces and four tiles of each, so pairings are not fixed. When three or four of a face are available at once, which two you take changes the shape of what remains. Choose the pair that leaves the rest easiest, not the pair that is easiest to reach.
Open the ends of long rows
A tile needs one open side, so anything in the middle of a long row stays locked until an end clears. Where tiles run in a long line on one layer, work inwards from the ends. A tile that looks reachable in the middle often leads nowhere.
Undo is unlimited
Every move can be taken back, one after another. If you reach a dead end, try stepping back several moves before reshuffling — a reshuffle clears the undo history, so nothing before it can be recovered.

Questions

Do I need an account?
No. Opening the page is the whole setup.
Is every deal really solvable?
Yes. The removal order is chosen first and faces are assigned to those pairs, so a path to the last tile always exists.
Where is my time kept?
In this browser on this device. Nothing is sent to a server, so it does not follow you elsewhere.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Press a tile to pick it, then press its match.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, it plays through with the network off.
What if I stop halfway?
The board and the clock are kept, and reopening resumes from there.
