About the reading
- Why is confidence low?
- Tracks without a clear beat (ambient, rubato performances, beat-light genres) are harder to read from the waveform, which lowers confidence. Treat the number as a rough guide in that case.
- When does a half/double candidate appear?
- A 128 BPM track and a 64 BPM track can look similar from the waveform alone (whether the strong hit lands every beat or every other beat). Both are shown only when they score close to each other.
- How accurate is tapping?
- Your own timing becomes the error margin. Tapping steadily for 10+ beats gives a steadier reading. Use file analysis when you need a precise number.

- Does it work on video files?
- Yes — the audio track is read and analyzed.
- What about tracks that change tempo?
- This tool estimates a single representative tempo for the whole track. Which section ends up dominating varies by track, so the result may not match every section exactly.
- Is the file sent to a server?
- No. Analysis happens entirely in the browser.
